Our criminal solicitor, Mr Sam Oakley, recently appeared before Newcastle Local Court for a client facing two charges: firstly, driving whilst suspended and, secondly, low-range drink-driving. These charges carry significant penalties, including automatic licence disqualification, gaol time and hefty fines.
Mr Oakley presented compelling submissions on behalf of our client. Through his efforts, the Court issued a conditional release order without conviction for both charges. This is a great outcome for our client as their record remains clear and they retain their driver’s licence, enabling them to continue their daily responsibilities without the disruption of a licence suspension. Moreover, no additional penalties were imposed.
