Meet Francis Caesar Devine.
Francis grew up in Sydney and completed his Bachelor of Laws with Honours at Macquarie University in 2020. During his Honours year, he contributed to the academic community by extensively researching issues of genocide in the sphere of international criminal law, with his thesis subsequently published. In recognition of his exceptional achievements, Francis was named the winner of the 30 Under 30 Awards 2024 in the criminal law category, officially earning the title of Australia’s top criminal lawyer under 30.
Francis practises exclusively in our criminal law practice, including AVO and traffic matters.
Francis is known for his strong work ethic and passionate approach to legal advocacy. He appears regularly in all court levels across the State and has experience running mental health diversion applications in the Local Court. He has successfully appeared in the District Court on severity and conviction appeals. He has also assisted in matters before the Court of Criminal Appeal.
His passion for advocacy is not limited to the courtroom. Having completed postgraduate coursework in Advanced Constitutional Law at the University of Sydney and University of NSW, he also actively seeks to shape government policy. Francis’ active role in public policy is best demonstrated by his endorsement as a Liberal Party candidate for the 58th Parliament of NSW.
